The Challenge
While the reinforced sidewalls of Run Flat tyres keep them working without air pressure, they also create a stiffer drive than conventional tyres when they are inflated.
Potenza S001 RFT
The Innovation
To overcome this limitation, we’ve introduced a revised sidewall and next generation heat-supressing technology into the design of the S001 RFT.
Nano Pro-Tech™ and Cooling Fin
To combat heat generation from within the tyre, we’ve used Nano Pro-Tech™ to develop a new rubber compound for the reinforced sidewall.
To supress heat generation on the outside of the tyre, we’ve introduced fins along the tyre wall exterior.
