AQ DONUTS II
Advanced Quality (AQ) DONUTS II is the latest step in the DONUTS evolution. AQ DONUTS II features several advances in water evacuation and road gripping. The technologies of AQ DONUTS II combine to provide drivers strong wet and dry performance, both when the tyre is new and when it is worn.
| O-BEAD II- Improves roundness of the tyre and wheel assembly to enhance straight-line stability. |
| Flat Force Block- This provides superior handling stability by making the hardness of each tread block more equal, regardless of the size of the block. |
| Consistent Surface Contact- Optimises the contact surface of each individual block in the tread pattern for superior handling performance, ride comfort and tread wear. |
| Comprehensive Tyre Design Method (CTDM) II- Enhances tyre design for better contact with the road surface while in motion to produce an even smoother and quieter ride. |
| Hydro Evacuation Surface- Tiny ribs are moulded into the sides of the grooves to reduce water turbulence, promoting the smooth and efficient evacuation of water from the tread surface. This helps prevent hydroplaning. |
| Super LL Carbon- The longer link construction of carbon makes rubber even more resistant to wear. |
| Particle Z- This provides better grip in the wet than a silica compound. |
| AQ Compound II- Provides a more consistent rubber softness to maintain wet performance and ride comfort. |
| Dual Layer Tread II- High grip compound appears at the tread centre when the tyre is new, and gradually replaces the cap compound as the tyre wears to provide consistent wet performance throughout the life of the tyre. |
